"Metal Blade ist erfreut darüber, das Signing von VALKYRJA aus Schweden bekannt geben zu dürfen! Die Black Metal Horde formierte sich 2004 und veröffentlichte 2005 den 5-Tracker 'Funeral Voices'.

Danach hatte die Band diverse Besetzungswechsel zu verkraften und nahm schließlich im März und April 2007 ihr Debütalbum 'The Invocation Of Demise' in den Necromorbus Studios (Watain, Deströyer 666, RAZOR OF OCCAM) auf. Es wurde im September selben Jahres via Northern Silence Productions entfesselt.

Ende 2008 unterzeichneten VALKYRJA einen weltweiten Albumvertrag bei Metal Blade Records.

VALKYRJA zum Vertragsabschluss: "The band sees the work with these allies as an opportunity to spread their crafts even further and on a larger scale. The Swedes have thus far already marked both studio and live performances with a brutal and aggressive signet, leaving no-one unaware of what the band can deliver. Territories stand not yet ravished by the plague and famine that is VALKYRJA, a fact this collaboration will change - a seal in Blood, Fire and Death."

Derzeit ist die Band mit dem Schreiben und Proben neuer Songs für das zweite Album beschäftigt. VALKYRJA planen, erneut in den Necromorbus Studios aufzunehmen.

Metal Blade Records werden 'The Invocation Of Demise' im Juni 2009 mit neuem Artwork und Booklet wiederveröffentlichen, um dem Album die Aufmerksamkeit zu geben, welches es verdient hat!
