Kurios: Mit "Winter Songs" erfüllt sich der Metal God den langjährigen Wunsch ein Weihnachtsalbum zu veröffentlichen. Musikalisch bekommt man aber zum Glück gewohnt metallische Klänge um die Ohren, textlich dreht sich das Album dann schon eher um die winterliche Weihnachtszeit.

Rob Halford sagt folgendes zu "Winter Songs":
“Well, I've always said I wanted to produce a Christmas CD, The Halford band has assembled a fantastic release, and we're excited to have produced a collection of holiday tracks which all of us have enjoyed from a very early age.”
