Als Krönung ihrer dreiteiligen Interpretation des Gothic-Romans „Melmoth The Wanderer“ von Charles Robert Maturin aus dem 19. Jahrhundert präsentieren AARA den abschließenden Teil der Triade-Trilogie, die am 31. März über Debemur Morti Productions veröffentlicht wird. „Triade III: Nyx“ ist eine prägnante, elegante Demonstration von Macht und Klasse, eine Reduzierung, Straffung und Verdichtung des kraftvollen und dennoch flinken Black Metal-Stils, für den die Band bekannt ist. Die Schweizer Gruppe haucht den letzten Kapiteln des Buches über sechs faszinierende Tracks Leben ein:

Das Album wurde in den Chäuer Studios Bärn aufgenommen, gemischt und gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork wurde von dem geschätzten Michael Handt gemalt und Johnny Warren (MODERN RITES) schuf – wie bei allen Alben der Melmoth-Trilogie – das Intro zum Opener.

As the title suggests, "Triade III: Nyx" deals with death, darkness and night as the tale of Melmoth reaches its irrevocable end. Vocalist and lyricist Fluss narrates:

"'Nyx' stands for the end, and darkness… with the stories of the protagonists coming to a conclusion. Melmoth's lover ends up in the dungeons of the Inquisition and dies of her grief after the death of the child conceived with Melmoth. But despite all the suffering of the people, Melmoth cannot convince anyone to share the lot of immortality for his soul, and so his time runs out and his existence on earth must end."

Composer Berg adds regarding the musical dimensions:

"The sound of "Triade II: Hemera" was wilder and more chaotic, which also had to do with the numerous riff changes. This time, we purposefully slowed down the chaos to give the melodies and riffs more room. For me, the mystical and fascinating side of the night lies in its calmness, clarity, and emptiness, which gives space for thoughts while having also stimulated peoples' imaginations for thousands of years. This contributes a lot to the fact that many people perceive the night as something eerie, especially when they are in nature. "Triade III: Nyx" is maybe not an album that is suitable to be played at a party, but rather a place that you should visit alone."
