Die niederländische Death/Thrash Brigade KILL DIVISION hat die erste Single ihres anstehenden Debütalbums Destructive Force, welches am 11. Oktober erscheint, online gestellt. Locked Up Forever kann ab sofort unter http://www.metalblade.com/killdivision/ gestreamt werden. Unter der gleichen URL kann man sich bei Gefallen am Gehörten das Album vorbestellen. Es gibt eine limitierte Digi-CD, Vinyl und einen digitalen Download. Außerdem gibt es ein exklusives Shirtbundle zu erwerben!Locked Up Forever wurde von Susan Gerl geschrieben, welche auch die Texte für das gesamte Album verfasst hat. Der Song handelt von Natascha Kampusch, der Österreicherin, die acht Jahre in einem Keller gefangen gehalten und gefoltert wurde. Die Story ging 2006 durch sämtliche Medien.

Nachdem sie bereits in Bands wie Legion of the Damned, God Dethroned, Asphyx und Inhume Erfahrungen sammeln konnten, entschieden sich Richard Ebisch (guitars, bass, vocals), Susan Gerl (guitars, vocals) und Roel Sanders (drums) dazu, ab sofort ihre ganze Kraft in KILL DIVISION und die Debüt-CD Destructive Force zu investieren!
Richard Ebisch und Susan Gerl haben sich dabei den Gesang geteilt, etwas, das weder der eine noch die andere jemals zuvor gemacht hat. Susan Gerl hierzu: “recording the vocals was initially a challenge for us since we are first and foremost guitarists. Neither of us had any experience with singing that long and that much and recording our vocals this way. I used to do some additional vocals with my previous bands but had never recorded any vocals for a full length CD. But we were really well-prepared and had practiced our singing extensively beforehand. The recordings went smoothly and we are really happy with the way our voices sound on the album.”
Aufgenommen wurde das Album im Toneshed Studio, das für viele Tage und Nächte ihr Zuhause wurde, während Mix und Mastering in Andy Classens Stage One Studio stattfanden.
