Neues Album in Arbeit, brandneues LineUp und eine Rückkehr auf die Livebühne: Damit wagen die UK Black Metal Veteranen HEATHEN DEITY einen Neustart. Doch damit nicht genug, sie beteiligen sich ebenso am offiziellen NARGAROTH Tributealbum mit einer Coverversion von "Karmageddon". Drei Tracks von "For the Glory of Satan" sind dazu noch auf der Andy Horry Doku "British Black Metal: The Extreme Underground" zu finden. HEATHEN DEITY wurden 1998 von Frontmann und Bassist Dagon gegründet, nach zwei Demos und der EP "For the Glory of Satan" zerbrach die Gruppe 2004.
Das neue LineUp besteht neben Dagon aus dem früheren Gitarrist Azrael plus Neuzugang Xjort am Schlagzeug. Momentan suchen die Jungs noch einen zweiten Gitarrist und einen Bassist.

Was bewegte Dagon dazu die Band nach so langer Zeit wiederzubeleben?: "I had been busy with day to day things and with my solo project FROSTWORK, whilst Azrael was busy with ETHEREAL FOREST and his various projects, and although we'd been talking about it for a long time, we could never find the time to get together to concentrate on HEATHEN DEITY until now".
"Would you believe that we started working on the new album in 2002 and didn't pick it up again until 2014. As you can imagine, with the passage of time, we are looking at those songs from a completely different perspective now, and we have re-worked and updated them to reflect where we find ourselves both musically and philosophically at this moment in time. We also intend to include newly written material, as well as some of the songs we performed live back in the day, songs that never appeared on any of our releases. We see these songs as marking the end of one chapter of HEATHEN DEITY, whilst the new material will herald a new beginning".
