Skeletonwitch aus Athens, Ohio gehören ohne Zweifel zu den angesgten (Heavy) Metal Bands aus den USA. Schon ein Blick aufs neue Cover und der Albumtitel lassen jedes Metallerherz höher schlagen - mehr METAL geht nicht! Aufgenommen wurde "Breathing The Fire" in Seattle mit Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, High On Fire) außerdem konnte man Scott Hull von Pig Destroyer für den Mix angagieren! Scott Hedrik (Gitarre) sagt folgendes zum neuen Album: “Breathing the Fire is a burning, fucking beast! The drums are monstrous; Chance’s sickening vocals sound inhuman and somehow retain amazing clarity; Evan’s bass sounds like Steve Harris, Lemmy and D.D. Bei uns waren Skeletonwitch 2008 zu sehen mit Hate Eternal und Cephalic Carnage. Eine weiter Tour ist für Ende 2009 in Planung. Scott bringt es mal wieder auf den Punkt was das Touring angeht: “White van, black t-shirt: that’s been my life since we started SKELETONWITCH,” adds Hedrick. “We love and live for the road. We’ll play the enormo-dome or we’ll play in your fucking closet – we don’t care as long as we get to play. Being out there on the road and mixing it up with all the metalheads is what it’s all about.
